- To develop novel light alloys with ultra-high stiffness and strength through casting, advanced thermomechanical and forming processes, evaluating the developed materials by mechanical tests and advanced characterization methods (EBSD, HRTEM, STEM, XRD, EDS, etc.) and demonstrating developed materials for automotive applications. The outcome of the work has been filed as a PATENT in UK in which Sajjad Amirkhanlou is the principal inventor.
- Deep understanding of the effect of alloying elements on Al mechanical properties and microstructure.
